Order your super-light Stellar touring kayak now with an elegant real wood deck! The wood veneer enhances the deck and gives your technical kayak a timeless look. The wood is a natural product and the wood grain makes your kayak a very personal and individual piece.
You can order the touring kayak of your choice with a real wood deck in a multisport layup (carbon Kevlar), with Kevlar keel strips (except for S18R + ST21) in combination with a black deck strip, black seat and coaming and with a black lower hull. The keel strip is black.
The wood is protected by transparent gelcoat, which makes it completely maintenance-free. As with the other laminated kayaks, it requires no special care. The weight is around 2000 grams more than the usual model weight for multisport layups.

Stellar Lightweight specialises in the construction of lightweight kayaks. The "Multisport" layup variant chosen here was specially developed for touring and river trips to offer extra robustness. The solo kayaks weigh only 17 to 19 kg, the tandem kayaks only 25 kg.
In the same factory where Stellar kayaks are built, Wintech rowing boats are also manufactured. This expertise under one roof led to an add-on: the Wintech crew produced the rowing boats for the film "The Boys In The Boat" (a 2023 epic about a rowing team led by George Clooney) based on a historical design. Classic woodworking is used here. This gave rise to the idea of also offering this expertise in the construction of touring kayaks. The technical, lightweight and robust characteristics of the kayaks are retained and enhanced by the timeless, sporty look of the fine wood.
