Choosing the right carbon paddle
Lite Venture boards and paddles are optimised for touring - in other words, they are particularly suitable for efficient gliding over long distances. The carbon paddles are all made from 100% carbon, including the shafts and handles. This makes them both light and stiff. However, they must not be too stiff, as this would put too much strain on the joints and muscles over long distances. The shafts are therefore equipped with medium flex. The paddles give slightly in the pull phase, the shaft "flexes" a little. Both POWERTRACK and ENDURANCE paddle models have this feature.
The difference between these two models lies in the blade: the ENDURANCE blade offers less resistance and therefore allows for more gentle paddling. This is particularly interesting for paddlers who prefer a higher frequency. The POWERTRACK has a recessed blade and therefore offers more resistance. This means that more power is applied to the water with every paddle stroke and a higher speed is possible. This is interesting for training, shorter distances or well-trained paddlers who want to cover a fast long distance.
